Is it possible to have two hard drives in one PC with no issues?

Hello guys! I built a PC last year and bought a 500 gb Seagate Barracuda. That hard drive is almost filled up and I wanted to upgrade to a 2 TB Seagate Barracuda. I was wondering if I could put a 2 TB drive in and still have my 500gb hard drive just for my OS and other smaller things.

Thanks guys!

No problem at all. I have 4 drives in my desktop (500 GB for Windows, 2 1 TB drives for data, and an 80 GB laptop SATA drive I use for dual-booting Linux).

Hi

in a word YES

There are tutorials on how to move the user area to the second drive

There are also tutorials on how to free up disk space
Disk Cleanup
CCleaner

Since you have not said what operating system so I left that for you to Google

You have to install programs to C:\ but the swap file, user data which usually goes in each users 'My Documents' etc can go on the second drive

Programs don't HAVE to be installed to the C:\ drive. Most installers anymore give you the option to change the install location. The program will still make changes to the C:\ drive, but the main part of the program will install wherever you tell it to.
