So i have this issue where a computer lab has a splitter and there is another computer lab that is extremely far from the lab. Due to budget, i'm wondering if its possible to run a ethernet cable from a splitter to a router (1st port) and then connect the secondary computer lab to the router. In other words, Modem -> Splitter -> Router -> Computer

P.S We use cable

what kind of 'splitter' is this?

The normal way would be:
Modem -> router -> devices
or
Modem -> router -> switch(es) -> devices

The router is the key component, because it is the DHCP server.

its a typical 20+ port switch, the problem we have is that the lab is already wired using the splitter but we want to bring internet to the other lab so is it possible to run another router/splitter from the original splitter to the lab

Like Splitter (1st room) -> Splitter/Router (2nd room) -> devices

I see, thank you very much for your help!

I don't know how to close this post so i'll marked this as solved
