I recently purchased a DELL Latitude 7390 2-in-1 refurbished on EBAY Dell Latitude 7390 13.3" Touchscreen 2 in 1 i7-8650U 16GB 512GB SSD Win10 Pro pretty happy with this little aged jewel . However prior to pulling the trigger and buying I exercised what I thought was due diligence in ensuring that I could add additional Secondary SSD for local storage. I have since been unable to gain solid data from any resources that what I believe to be possible is actually possible. The Dell parts support website lists Manufacturer part SNP112233P/256G | Dell part AB292880 Dell M.2 PCIe NVME Gen 3x4 Class 35 2230 Solid State Drive - 256GB as a Latitude 7390 2-in-1 Compatible Part . Where my confusion come into play is installation and BIOS configuration prior to purchasing I would like to be able to confirm installation and setup for a seamless functional install- several early semi-detailed reviews from various site indicate that the internal VLAN/SSD slot on the system board permits mounting the aforementioned Dell M.2 PCIe NVME Gen 3x4 Class 35 2230 Solid State Drive - 256GB in this slot I feel confident in my ability to physically install the drive. My concern is BIOS configuration and the ability to have the system identify the drive for use. 1) Has anyone done this on a Latitude 7390 13.3" Touchscreen 2 in 1 that can offer guidance and confirm success ? 2) Can anyone advise on procedures for BIOS changes that need to be made to ensure the drive is identified and available for use in Win 10 ? Thanks in advance to any and all that respond - Frustrated 😱

Would love if this was a concise solution However the Latitude 7390 2-in-1 and the Latitude E7390 are two vastly different machines and Dell part AB292880 is not even listed as a potential upgrade/add on for the Latitude E7390 and although I have 30 years ripping open and servicing laptops it is still no minor task and I would prefer more definitive answer related to the Latitude 7390 2-in-1 exclusively. Thank you though for the suggestion though, although I had ruled this support article out a week ago

According to the specs for the Latitude 7390 2-in-1, it has a primary and secondary storage device so it may be possible. However, I couldn't locate where the secondary storage device is located from the website. They may refer the Micro-Sim card the Secondary Storage
