Is it possible to install and use Whatsapp on Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite Wi-Fi without a smartphone? The owner of the tablet has only an old mobile phone that can send/receive SMS and an old landline phone. Please answer only if you can provide an actual experience report.

I assume you do indeed mean the tablet, so what part are they getting stuck at?

Frankly, I don't know yet (and when I get to know, it might be already too late). https://www.whatsapp.com/android/?lang=en says, “Tablet devices are not supported”, whereas opposed to that, some third-party tech sites (here is one in German: https://www.techbook.de/apps/messenger/whatsapp-tablet-ipad-android-installieren) describe installation procedures.

Ideally, someone who reads this forum stops by and says something like, “I tried to install and use WhatsApp on Galaxy Tab S6 Lite without smartphone as described by ..., and the result is this: ...”

It might not be able to install the WhatsApp directly you often there are 3rd part tools where you can connect & message with whatsapp users, like on my iPad. Thats why I asked if it's in the Appstore.
