I want to upgrade my desktop with a graphics card " Nvidia GeForce GTX 960 " and this graphics card supports "Bus Support: PCI Express 3.0".
My desktop motherboard has the followings:

Expansion Slots
1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x 16
1 x PCI Express x1 slot
2 x PCI slots

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93GHz
RAM: 4GB DDR3

Can I use "Nvidia GeForce GTX 960" with this desktop?

HUGE bottleneck, my buddy has a G3258 (reference 3.2ghz passmark score = 3999) OC'd to 4.2 and there was slight bottleneck on his 960 compared to when we put it in my system (i7-2600 passmark reference score = 8261), the g3258 is WAY faster than the Core2 duo 2.93 (reference 2.93ghz passmark score = 1893).

Try 950/750ti they are still fast. That being said you can get a 960 if a new CPU purchase is within a year.
you can install that Graphics card on the 1 x PCI Express x16 slot that will have no issues. but your processor will not be enough power to give you the maximum performance. your processor will bottleneck your graphics card...

Note: but still you will be able to use the graphic card....

What PSU (Power Supply Unit) are you using? at lease you will have to have a good PSU higher than 450W. minimum around 400W is recommended with and PSU should have atleast 75-Watt 6-pin PCI Express supplementary power connector
