Is it possible to make windows 10 file explorer look like this?

The image shows how I made my windows 7 look.
I removed the ribbon and made the explorer very simple and minimalistic looking.

I haven't tried to do that, but I'm not aware of any reason why you couldn't make windows 10 have a similar file explorer ui. Depending on how you did it with 7, the same methods may work in Windows 10.

yes, open file explorer, click on the view icon on the top left corner, then click on the options icon on the top right corner. Once there choose wich option you want in "open file explorer to" select "this pc"

Its possible to totally remove the ribbon without using 3rd party software? I was sure it was not possible otherwise. On my windows 7 I used 'Windows 7 Command Bar Tweaker' to permanently remove it. I couldn't do it without in Windows 7. I don't have Windows 10 yet but want to make sure first. I don't want screen space wasted with the UI. I might get an extra hdd to test first.

Ok thanks. Ill try it when I buy a new HDD. I will have to switch soon as DX12 games start coming out
