Is it possible to run 4x4gb of ram on a Sabertooth AM3+

motherboard ? Now I have 8 gb running at 1600 , G-skill Sniper 1280 cl9 , have heard of problems filling all 4 slots on the old AM3 boards , is this still the case ? CPU is phenom II 1090 T , GPU 2x 6770 gigabyte silent cell

So it will run , but only at 1333 not 1600 ? so I should buy 1333 instead of 1600 ram

ASUS's website seems to be on the fritz right now. Memory frequencies depend on your CPU, the 1090T can run up to DDR3-1600~DDR3-2000 if you either OC the FSB 240MHz or CPU-NB Frequency to 2400MHz. This is not the situation for the new Zambezi which are DDR3-1866 native,but still require manual settings in most all cases.

With the 1090T DDR3-1600 CAS 8/9 2x4GB or 4x4GB matched sets are fine with the tweaks or DDR3-1333 without OC. Running DDR3-1600 without FSB or CPU-NB Frequency will cause errors in high load situations e.g. Prime + Blend.

The specs I see are:
DDR3 1866/1600/1333/1066
32GB (4x8GB)
