[SOLVED] Is it possible to short circuit unplugged pc?

Hey I was wondering about this since I mistakenly touched the back of the motherboard where the ram slot is attached while i was using a metal ruler to measure if a screw was long enough to go through the case and touch the motherboard. Turns out it actually was too long so at least I got that out of it. The computer was hovever unplugged but there is the battery in the mb hence why im asking.

No I don’t think anything bad happened you’re probably OK does the PC not power up anymore?

it does power up, but relatively to what I touched I don't know if it is something I will notice immediately or if some features have been fried, but I reckon I'm okay

Unplugged, it still works everything is fine.
