[SOLVED] Is it possible to switch between Nvidia and Intel GPUs in a desktop ?

Solution
prolonging the Nvidia card's life ?
When your browsing the GPU is in a idle state, it's not really going to make much of a difference. Also to do what you'd want to do you'd actually have to remove the GPU from the system and connect the monitor to the motherboard. There's probably a higher risk of damaging the GPU taking it out of the system often (chance of dropping or whatnot) then it would to just leave it alone in the system.

As long as you dust the card when needed, keep it within safe temps and don't heavily overclock it the card should last beyond it being outdated. I have a EVGA GTX 9800 (11 year old card) that still works :)
