Hello, I have Win 7 COA on my old gaming case and I used that KEY to upgrade to WIN 10 when it was offered. Now I'm building a completely new computer and was wondering if I can use old WIN 7 key to activate/reactivate WIN 10. Would something like that work or not because motherboards are completely different?

It can work, but it's not 100% guaranteed from what I remember, the license, like you said, is tied to the motherboard. But if you call Microsoft and tell them that you built a new computer, there's a decent chance they will activate it on your new one. Just tell them you had to replace the motherboard or whatnot.
