I feel like this question is kind of dumb.
So i plan on upgrading my motherboard and CPU but i am going from Intel to AMD. I plan on keeping the case, fans, PSU, storage, and graphics card. Basically keeping everything except the motherboard, CPU, RAM and CPU cooler.
I went with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D with a Phantom spirit 120 EVO CPU cooler & a Gigabyte X870 Gaming WiFi6 motherboard, & TeamGroup CL30 DDR5 32GB RAM. The PSU would be enough as it's a Corsair HX series 1200W 80plus Platinum.
My current CPU is just not keeping up with my RX 9070 XT. When i upgraded my 3090 Ti (it had display issues). I definitely noticed a performance loss especially with a PCIE-x16 gen 3 motherboard. I’m just hoping that it would be an easy swap and i don’t have to worry about the OS or anything else.
Would it be okay just taking apart the old cpu, motherboard, ram, & aio cooler and replacing the intel with amd?
