Is it possible to use a Logitech (G930) headset on another audio device?

I have a G930 headset from Logitech and it of course uses the very bad (in my opinion at least) Logitech Gaming Software. This headset has 7.1 surround and I have recently started streaming a little bit with OBS Studio. The problem I have is even if the surround is turned off on the headset the stream audio will still be surround and from what others have said with the same problem is that the software is causing it.

I use the software for my mouse (keybinds and such) so I'm wondering if I could just switch and use a different audio device like Realtek or maybe Virtual Audio Cable. I have tried using Realtek but I didn't get any sound on anything. And that sometimes happens with the default audio device but after a restart it's good. After a restart on Realtek it switched itself back to the default. If you need any additional info or anything just let me know. All answers are much appreciated.

Also since the thing is attached through USB, it is seen as it's own audio output (or audio device) and thus using another output will not allow you to hear things from headphones.

You could, in theory, uninstall LGS and then get normal stereo output from the headphone but... since you use keybinds from it also, it is not really an option.

Yeah.. done some more digging. The device doesn't have a stereo option in the configuration of the device which is really stupid and annoying. I saw someone who went back to and older version of LGS but never specified which version. I love the headset but it's such a bad idea to only have surround on it.

I might have found a solution, at least for people with Realtek. It was a bit tricky. I found out how to use two audio devices with Realteks Stereo Mix. I had a spare set of shitty headphones and with Stereo mix I can play the audio from those to my headset. I used this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LV46UXLsVW4 .
