Is it possible to use an iPad as an external soundboard?

Hello.

I have been using a program called Foobar2000 for the last couple of months now, to play music and sound effects through my microphone. But it would be so much more convienient to have an external soundboard. So my question is: is it possible to use and iPad for that? Is there some sort of software that will make that possible?

What would this iPad be connected to (as an external soundboard)?

What is a soundboard? If you mean soundcard then no you can do that with an ipad.
Music playback would be through speakers not a mic.
iPads don't have large or good speakers so I'm not sure what the advantage would be. You could play the files on an ipad using the FLAC player app without a computer.
If you want to improve the sound quality of your files then your options would be to
1. Get better speakers then
2. Get a soundcard or USB DAC
