Is it possible to wipe my hdd without wiping my ssd

I am currently running windows 8.1 on my SSD and have decided that i want to erase everything on my 1 TB WD black. Is it possible to just wipe my 1TB without reinstalling windows 8.1?

Edit: this is not to re-install windows.

Yes. Right-click on the drive in My Computer, and select Format.

*note that this isn't a 'secure' erase; people can still get data if they try. Also, it only wipes that partition - if you have more than one partition on the drive, the others aren't affected.
