hi , i am a big fan of Final Fantasy and I have dial up commection. If i format the the pc i need years to install the update using the dialup. Is there anyway that we can download the update on file and keep it as backup.;
Please hel me.. it will be of great use for me.

If you go the the Microsoft Download site, you can manually download all upgrades and patches for your OS. Then you can burn them to CD (assuming you have a CD burner). It would also be a good idea to save all your driver files (eg video card drivers, audio card, LAN, etc). That way, every time you need to re-install your OS, you have all the required files to get your system back up and running again.

I believe "Leon the Pro" was asking if he could download and save on a CD the updates/patches for Final Fantasy XI.
If thats the case, not having played it I don't know. I do know that for Anarchy Online you could download a backup of the patch(es) into a backup folder, maybe FFXI has an option like that? Then you could copy the backup folder onto a CD.
