Is it really bad for a CPU to be at 90%-100% usage all the time?

I was at my friends house today and he was showing me Assassins Creed Origins on his i7 6700k and GTX 1070 machine. The CPU usage was like at 90% to 100% for the first two hours that I played the game on his machine.
I was thinking of getting AC:O but I dont think I will right now due to this as I only have R5 1400 and its a weak CPU.
Will that decrease the life of that CPU the way the game is using all that CPU?

Your processor is by no means weak.
That aside, there is nothing wrong with running a processor maxed out (hint: If this were bad, why would it be possible?)
As long as you keep your temps under control, there is no issue.

Can't really be determined as long as it's not overheating should be fine.
