Is it safe to delete msdia80.dll from external drive?

Solution
According to https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/927665 , one possible cause is that it's an issue when installing the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package.

It says a possible workaround is to move the Msdia80.dll file to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC folder.
Then at a command prompt type: regsvr32 C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VC\msdia80.dll

It also says the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable Package is outdated and you should instead install the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package from https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=14431

Maybe one (or both) of the above will help you.
