Hi all :)

I just got a humidifier since our house have only 20-25% humidity , it’s winter and we use heaters inside, my pc stand also in the livingroom but like 6-7 metere away.

Over night it was raising slowly up to 45% humidity, im kinda happy with that but then i come to think about the electronics since i found some small lines of water at the bottom of the windows in the same room.

Could it just be a stripe of water in the windows since the glass is cold? It’s -2 celsius outside.

As long as it's not directly blowing on it, 45% is still low humidity.

It is not like your computer has a air conditioner in it. It would have to be cooler than other things in your house to get water on it like a window.

As mentioned 46% is still pretty low. They keep computer data centers at about 50% and have about 80% as a maximum.

In some ways a bit higher humidity is good for your computer you have less chance of static shocks if you were to be messing around inside the machine.

Yes that was my goal to have like 40-50%
Im using a Duux beam ultrasonic humidifier and when the sun came in today from the window it was a cloudy mist inside the hole livingroom, still only 45% so not too much.
Somehow the water sirculate and make a tint/gray cloud in the room. Just wanted to ask since when the sun enter one basicly see the air contain water, it was so gray that it almost looked as someone had smoked in here, didnt spot this yesterday night.

Thanks to both for the advices :)
