Is it safe to hoover my dark rock pro 3?

Hey guys, how are you today? I want to clean out my dark rock pro 3 'cos it's getting pretty dusty now. It keeps temps nice and low with other case fans, but I want to get on the dust before it becomes a problem. Is it safe for me to remove the whole CPU cooler with it's heatsink and just hoover? I'll probably hold down the fans with a pencil to make sure they don't move and break the bearings. Thanks guys!

I do it all the time with my shop vac. It would best best to remove the cooler before you vacuum the dust out of it since vacuums can cause static electricity to build up, that said I have done it before with the cooler still mounted and had no issue.

Yeah, i'm planning to entirely remove it from being connected to the motherboard, going outside or to a different room and then hoovering the CPU. Hopefully I can get all the dust out. Thanks mate!

No problem. If the vacuum doesn't get it all out I have a little brush I like to use that can get in between the fins. Or even hose it down with some water if you remove the fans and any LEDs it may have.
