[SOLVED] Is it safe to increase my vram?

I have a GT 740. Yes, I know it is a trash gpu, but it only has 1024MB vram allocated to it out of 5066MB. What does increasing the VRAM in bios do? Does it slow down my pc?

Nothing. You can only allocate RAM to integrated graphics so this won’t do anything for your dedicated GT740.

It’s pointless. Any RAM will be allocated to the integrated graphics on the cpu and you should be using your dedicated GT740.

It would take that increased Vram from available system ram and use it for the igpu, this would not increase the performance of the 740 and could actually hurt performance as there would be less ram available for the system to use.
