[SOLVED] is it safe to instal Notepad++ from Microsoft store ?

I want to Instal the program from the Microsoft store on my windows 10 PC
is that program safe free of viruses and malwares ?
I will be using it on my main pc that's why im a bit worry thanks .

If anything installing apps from the Microsoft store would be much safer than off the internet. I cannot guarantee anything of the sort though.

I have been using notepad++ for years. I always download it at the address below.

As far as I know Notepad++ is a safe application. You can download it from its website (https://notepad-plus-plus.org/) or Microsoft Store, both are legit sources.

I would not download it from another website.

NP++ allows for many plug-ins to be installed from various sources, so while the NP++ itself is OK (I use on computers where I don't have my favorite TextPad), some plug-ins might be "un-safe" (insert your own definition for "un-safe").

Just had a look on the publisher of Windows store' version, and it does not seem to be affiliated with NP++ developers.
