is it safe to move a ram from a slot to another slot?

Hello everyone,

i installed my ram ( 4x2 ) next to each other, my motherboard doesn't have colors so i didn't know that i need to put them on 1 , 3 or 2 , 4 to get dual channel

i added my ram on slot 1 and 2 , thats why i am getting single channel, so i want to get dual channel and move the ram

but what i am going to do is shut down my pc and unplug the power cord, then i'll move 1 piece of ram to the next slot, is it safe or not ?

i don't know anything about ram so i am not sure, is it safe to move ram from a slot to another slot? or do i have to do anything in the bios before changing the ram slot? thanks

As long as the computer is completely off then there's no issue.

Update: i moved my ram to the next slot and its working fine, + now its dual channel, It was single channel :3
