Apologies for messages from me as I know I'm uploading a few.

I received my gtx 1080 evga sc today and when opened the wire behind the right fan must have dislodged and it hitting the fan. Part of the wire has a bulge velcro protective bit. Is it safe to stick something between the fan blades and move it. As I think it should be behind this bit of metal barrier instead of in front. Not 100% tho. But I can't let it hit the fan. I don't want to break any wires tho. Is it safe to try and move it.

Also if somehow the wire breaks is it the fan that is broke or the whole gpu ?

Thanks so much guys

You unscrew heatsink from back side of the card. It holds on 4 screws.
Pull out the wire, so it doesn't interfere with fan.

If you leave it the way it is, it will rub against fan making unpleasant noise and eventually enough rubbing might expose naked wires.

Thanks for answer but I would have no idea how to do that. Would it be a absolute necessary ?

What problems could leaving it like that cause.

Thanks
