is it safe to OC my XB271HU ? (ACER PREDATOR 27'')

On the box, it says that it's a 165HZ monitor, yet when I opened it the screen was locked at 144hz.

I would like to OC it but I'm wondering if it's safe. I dont want no stuttering or skipping.

I know most of yall will say that I wont see a diff, but i dont care, i want what I paid for - which is a 165hz monitor.

Is it safe to Overclock it? Thank you!

That monitor has a base refresh rate of 144Hz, the 165Hz is the OC rate.

Safe or not, thats what Acer does, you wont get past 144Hz without it.
Contact them and see if that would void your warranty. If it does, I wouldnt do it.

There should be an option in the monitors OSD somewhere to enable the 165hz refresh.

Not sure this is relevant anymore but i remember seeing something on a monitor stating *Up to 165hz, so you may or may not actually achieve the full 165hz.

yes it's in the menu, it's literally 2 clicks away

Then you can simply enable it, no need to manually OC the monitor.
If you enable it and there are no immediate issues then you are good to go.
