my gpu isn't the best and isn't running the 144fps for my monitor and I would like to do a slight overclock on my gpu but I do not know if it is safe

The mobo doesn't have much/ anything to do with a GPU OC.

What CPU?
What game(s) are you trying to play?
What in-game video settings?
What resolution?
What frame rates are you currently getting?

Don't expect more than about a 10% improvement in frame rates from an OC.
