Is it safe to put an stock/ case fan behind the GPU to let the air flow???

Because my Sapphire r7 260x OC 2gb Fan stopped working and once i turned on the pc crash since the gpu inmediatly get hot.

However the wierd thing is when i play high end level games the Fan starte to spin and make high sound like its forcing.

To answer your questions:

Yes, you could try to attach a case fan to direct air into the graphics card.
Somewhat ghetto, but duct tape and ties could do it.
If the fan is a standard size, perhaps you could simply replace it.

The card has a 2 year warranty, so you would be better off with a rma.
But, that takes time.

If you have the funds, buy a stronger graphics card that is more appropriate to the power of your cpu.
That might be a GTX960. When the rma is returned to you, sell the 260X.
