I wanted to uninstall it (especially that it recommends do install a successor to this program), but when I do it's displays an ambiguous warning that it may not be a good idea if I'm running RAID. It doesn’t say what exactly will happen.
I have another PC, an AMD, also in RAID 1, and it runs raid with no additional software like this.

Do you mean an update? I wouldn't expect an update to the software to break RAID.

screenshot of warning might help

Did you set up RAID using software or in the BIOS?

You should be able to apply an update without uninstalling the old version. However, you should also have some sort of back up method in place anyway if this is data you do not want to lose.

Though unless you have an actual problem that you can't resolve without an update or there's some major security risk with the current version, you don't need to update anything.
