I have this PSU:

Seasonic S12II-520 520W 80+ Bronze

And I bought an Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) just to be safe against irregularity of voltage flow. My question is, is it safe to use a 500W AVR with my 520W PSU? I need help from the experts regarding this.

Can you post the specs of your whole build?

Assuming you have a build similar to the i5-4460/8350 + GTX 970 combinations that everyone is recommending you should be completely fine.
Judging that most gaming rigs pull no more than 400W on full load, unless you are running SLI or CFX.

Just remember its the wattage at the wall which he is concerned about which will be up to 25% higher at the wall on a Bronze rated psu (400w/0.80 = 500w at the wall)

The power efficiency of the S12II at 400w's of load is at about 85% efficiency on average..

With 400W being used, and N being the amount of watts taken off the wall.
400+(400*0.15)=n
400+60=460
n=460

About 460w used on full load, As long as the AVR can fully output it's rated 500w without problem everything should be beloved patriot-dory.
