Question Is it safe to use an LGA 1200 mounting brackett on an LGA 1700 board?

Hey,

I'm currently using the Arctic Freezer Liquid Cooler II 240mm on an LGA 1700 MOBO. However, the cooler requires an LGA 1700 mounting bracket that is not included, though it is free on their site (I've already ordered one). In the meantime, is it okay to use the LGA 1200 mount. It seems to install fine, but it isn't ideal of course.

Does the site list different mounting brackets?

When you ordered the free LGA 1700 bracket did you notice a choice for LGA 1200?

I would not be surprised if the the two bracket two brackets are identical.

Or some minor difference

Post a photo of your LGA 1200 bracket here via imgur (www.imgur.com).

Put a ruler beside the bracket etc. to show size.

Someone with a LGA 1700 bracket may be able to confirm if the brackets are identical.

Or not.
