I have an old PC - AMD Phenom 955 BE, MSI 870A-G54, 4GB RAM 1333 MHz and Radeon 5770 1GB. Is it safe to enable OC Genie Lite in BIOS in my case?

Solution
It wouldn't be a feature of your motherboard unless it was safe. Like you say it's an old PC so just monitor your temps and make sure everything is stable following your oc. Personally I prefer a manual oc but the genie will do everything for you automatically,

Yes and no. Depends on its use. OC Genie and all the others like it are easy to use and easy to get used. Simple 1 click in some cases, and normally there's no issue. But people can run into issues later as those programs change more settings than is visibly seen. So if you know you don't have the cooling for the OC, it can backfire and raise temps far more than you are comfortable with and when you try to back out of the OC, some of those settings remain. This can lead to unforseen stability or temp issues, especially when you try to manually OC via bios.

It's one of those things that's advised to use at your own risk.

All very true, should you run into Heating or setting issues using OC genie then best way of fixing it is usually to reset CMOS. Thats why it's best to check stability and temps and keep an eye on how the OC effects your PC. It may well be absolutley fine but being old the tweaks made could cause issues in some cases.
