Hello, I have a Corsair CX 750m bronze from 2015. I ordered a new graphics card that will require two PCIE cables I lost my second type 3 PCIE cable that came with the PSU so I purchased another one from the corsair website (Type 3 Sleeved Black PCIe Cable CP-8920111) my question is, is it safe to use this with the original for my new graphics card or should I be careful and buy a different one or another of the same cable I bought to have two matching ones?

Solution
I’d definitely change the psu to a high quality unit. I would not risk a 3080 on the old green CX psu. I would want something better than the new grey CX model.
That part number does list CXM so is the correct cable. However Im more worried about a CXM from 2015, is that the one with the green CX on label and not the grey colour? The old green CX were lower quality and had a poor reputation for failing.

What’s the full pc spec?
