Hey guys,
So about half a year ago, I had a water cooling accident. This occurred whenever I added in the chipset block to the loop, and the block had a leak in it. It's safe to say that my board is screwed, but that's about the only thing that I think was damaged, as my old 7970 seemed to still work before I replaced it with my 980 ti. The PSU continued to work, but since X79 boards are a little more expensive, my relative recommended I just updated to skylake, which I followed through with. I extracted the 3930k from the board, and it found a place on my somewhat clean desk. It's been lying pin-contact up for the last few months now. I've found use for it in a friend's system, but he lives somewhat far away from me. Can anyone please give me their two cents on whether it would be worth sending it over?
