Is it still the best overall?

I've tried endlessly to like Windows 8.1 and the so far released versions of Windows 10 better than Windows 7, but I simply can't. I keep coming back to Windows 7 and it's for a very good reason, it's still the best OS by Microsoft.
It may not have the ideas that came along with 8.1 and 10 but it's so complete and so much better finished when it comes to important things such the UI and the icons.

As far as I'm concerned and if Windows 10 comes out anywhere near its current state of development I'll stick to 7 for as long as possible.

What's your opinion?

been testing 10 since day one

not found much to fault with it other than the new web browser using high memory and cpu usage and crashing now and then

but its still not finished yet

and since they will stop supporting 7 its a moot point really they aim to get everyone using 10 as it makes life much easier for them if we all use the same os

That's the stuff I'm referring to, the crashing for example, Windows 7 practically never crashes and it didn't from day 1, judging by that alone, I'm starting to think Windows 10, if anything, won't be as reliable as Windows 7, but I see your point about this discussion being a bit pointless since support for Win7 will end. I just keep wondering where all that quality went after it, with 8.1 and now 10.
