I generally wait at least three generations before upgrading the CPU or GPU. Entirely up to you, but the only thing I would even consider would be the graphics card.

Well if your gaming more I would advise a GPU upgrade really. depends on how much you wanna spend.

CPU is pretty enough for current gen of games, I still use my i5-3570k @ stock most of the times since the bumps in FPS is pointless.

Some games start asking for some more RAM, although 8 GB still the spot. DDR3 is cheap and there are people sending used RAM as in 2x4GB meaning 16 GB would be plenty.

However if you are low on budget try to save for the GPU, its the priority. At least a 4GB card above or on the line of performance of a GTX 970/ AMD 290 (At least its the minimum recommendation for VR also). Nvidia is launching the new line now, so you can get used GTX 970 / GTX 980 kinda low in prices in the following weeks. Even new purchased GTX 970 or GTX 980 will have lower prices to clear up stock to the upcoming gtx 1080 / gtx 1070.

well i really like the gtx 1070 or 1080 but not want to bottle neck. so you think my cpu and motherboard are okay because thats what i am kinda worried about I get really bad lag when trying to stream

Bottleneck is such an overused and over-rated term. It's intent was to prevent pairing a low-end component with a high end component which would limit the performance of the higher-end item.

Since you have a high-end processor and are looking to get a high-end graphics card, there will not be any bottleneck between the two based solely on component performance.
