Question Is it true that post will happen by waiting after failed overclock?

Hey everyone, is it true that when I try Ram Overclock and I fail and don't get post. The Bios will show up after waiting for post for a little while? Basically what I am asking is Can I go in to bios without post and not do a cmos reset? Also I don't have a issue right now. I had a ram before and I tried overclocking it and didn't get post after the overclock. Then I had to do a cmos reset and it was fixed. But doing the cmos reset was scary and difficult so I don't want to do it again. Now I have a new ram and I want try and overclock it but I am afraid I won't get post and won't be able to go back in bios. So I am asking if waiting for post for a couple of minutes do the trick instead of dealing with a cmos reset.

Or is there a software like Ryzen Master where you overclock your CPU and if its unstable the settings get reset after a restart. But for the same software for ram. So ill try a ram overclock and if it fails it doesn't get saved after a restart.
