Is it worth AMD driver update?

Hi,

I have an AMD HD Radeon 7750, my driver is v13.12, the one out there currently is 14.4, but the problem is that, 14.4 driver requires Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8 or Windows 8.1, so I was wondering if it is worth the update since I have Windows 7 (Without SP1) and I haven't updated my Windows for a long time, so it would take really long to update my Windows before updating my AMD driver.

Are there major differences between 13.12 and 14.4?

Best,
MJaoune

Solution
AMD is slowly pushing forward Mantle API on his ALPHA drivers, and i believe the 14.4 has mantle integrated, yes it is probably the most worthy driver upgrade up to date, i have it and it works fine (i don't have any mantle supporting games but...still) and i have windows 7 pro 64bit, i never worry about SP i just...install, i assume Windows 7 has the SP needed to run the Driver

According to AMD's official site release notes:

The AMD Catalyst 14.4 Software Suite requires Windows 7 Service Pack 1 to be installed.

And I don't have Service Pack 1.

They work backwards i believe, you probably have 2

EDIT= it just occured to me that the existance of the SP i mentiones doesn't exist...

In any case the installer is so light it shouldn't be a trouble, i would try to download it, the 14.4 is an impoirtant update if you ask me

The AHCI drivers screwed the boot process in 3 older AMD chipsets. One was the SB700,which i have. D:

BUT They've re-released the drivers with it fixed
