Is it worth buying the 850 Pro over the 840 Pro?

Let me start by saying that funds ARE NOT a problem, but I'm not going to buy something that has very little benefit.

They are both MLC drives but the 850 has 3-D V-NAND. Does this new technology make the drive last longer? I'm curious because the warranty has been extended from 5 to 10 years. Are there any other advantages besides slight speed increase? I mostly care about the read speed.

The 840 pro is plenty fast , not worth it in my opinion.
