Is it worth buying?

I'd like to buy a new graphics card to replace my good old ATI Radeon X600 Pro for gaming purposes. I'm thinking: Call of Duty 4 and 5, Left 4 Dead, etc.

The thing is, I don't know if it's worth buying a new card since my CPU is getting old (can't replace it).

I'm also wondering if my MOBO can handle a new graphics card.

I'm probably gonna upgrade my existing RAM to 3G (already posted a thread for that).

Ok, here are my computer specs:
-Dell OptiPlex GX620 Mini-Tower
-Intel Pentium D 830 3.0GHz (Dual)
-FSB: 800MHz (Quad. Data Rate)
-Motherboard: Dell 0HH807
-1024 Mb of RAM (2 x 512Mb at 266MHz of DDR2-SDRAM)
-ATI Radeon X600 Pro 256Mb in PCI-E 16x slot
-SAMSUNG 500G Hardrive
-SAMSUNG 70G Hardrive
-Microsoft Windows XP Service Pack 3

That cpu is going to hold newer mid/high end cards back, but mostly your memory is going to hold it back the most. I would just build a new pc. Your DRAM frequency runs at 266mhz!?? Have you tried overclocking?
