I am about to buy a new PC and I was on PC specialist' website and I discovered Intel optane memory , I read about it and wondered whether or not it is worth getting despite me getting an ssd. I was planning to get the 500GB WD BLUE SSD and also 1 tb of seagate barracuda, I am installing the operating system and all my games on my ssd and will use my hard drive for smaller apps such as spotify and discord .I dont know whether or not it will be worth spending extra money on Intel optane when i will only use my PC for gaming.Sorry if this is a stupid question 😛

Thanks

Solution
From what I gathered, Optane w/ SSD improvements are negligible

From Intel: "Yes. You can get Intel Optane memory to accelerate any type of SATA-based storage media, including SATA SSDs. However, performance benefits of adding Intel® Optane™ memory are greater on slower storage devices like an HDD, versus a faster storage device like a SATA-SSD."

No.
You'd be using an SSD (the Optane) as a cache for an SSD (theWD Blue).
