Hi, I'm wondering if it is worth getting a Gainward GTX 770 as it is obtainable for roughly £160 in the UK. Is it worth getting or should I wait for the Pascal architecture in 2016? Also, if I can't get this, is there any AMD cards that perform roughly the same for £150?

Thanks

Yeah, so a lot of people think the 950 is the better decision. I'm not arguing back but I initially thought that the 900 series replaced the 700 series (GTX 970 replacing GTX 770 etc). The thing I'm concerned about is that the memory bit rate on the GTX 950ti is 128 and the GTX 770 is 256. Does this not mean that the 770 would be the better option?

770 is stronger... But if you will se de benchmarks you see that 960 same fps as 770. 950 have almost same fps that 960. And 950 have better drivers and handle better recent games...

I have an 770 in my pc, so I dont hate the 770 to say that but its the true...

After a bit more research, the 770 does appear to be the faster card, even beating the 960 marginally. But, as mentioned above, the new features and driver tweaks may push the performance up even further as this is the newest architecture for Nvidia, which means it will get priority/optimizations over Kepler.

Yeah, I was looking at some game benchmarks on YouTube, and the GTX 770 only beat the 960 on an average of 10FPS. I don't think it's worth spending a lot on the 770. I can get a 960 Super Clocked for £190 from PC World but I can get the 770 for £160 for a limited amount of time. And yeah, I think the 770 is faster than the 960 because the 960's 128 bit whereas the 770 is 256 bit. I think it's between these 2 cards but I don;t know which one to get.
