[SOLVED] Is it worth it for me to buy a 144 hz monitor?

I have planned out a build containing:
*Gtx 1050 ti (it is old i know)
*Ryzen 5 3600x
*Asus prime b450-a
*2x8 GB 3200mhz Ram
*256 GB m.2 ssd (600MB R/W)

My question is if it is worth it for me to buy a 144hz monitor aswell (1080p)? I will mostly be playing light games such as LoL, Valorant, CS:GO, Terraria, Scp:sl etc...
Will this setup be able to reach 144 fps consistently on these games?

144hz Monitors Are for very competitive games that require really good framerates and refresh rates. CSGO is pretty competitive but you do not need 144hz monitor to be good at a game 60 or 75hz are good enough for a 1050 ti.

I’m thinking more for leisure than competitive edge. I’ve heard many things about the wonders of 144hz compared to 60hz.

If you are planning on getting a 144hz monitor than you might want to upgrade your GPU just a slight bit so you can get the most out of it. 144hz is better for a number of reasons but mainly because it looks much more smoother and you have sharper motion. 60hz feels more blurry but 144hz has very less blur. If you want 144hz then go for it.

I have a Triton with a 180hz max refresh. To be honest I see very little difference past 75hz. I used to competitly play quake3 and ut99. I didn't find a that I was any better with higher refresh.

144hz is totally worth if ull play esports titles, provided you're already really and looking to be a strong competitive player. And you need a minimum GTX 1080/1080Ti or equivalent to reach the target frames 144hz.

Thanks everyone for the replies! I’m sorry as i might have confused some people with the prashing of my question. Competitive play and such aside, my main issue is will I be able to reach 144fps consistentyl on the games I have listed above, so that I don’t buy a 144hz monitor just to end up with 60fps. The games I listed aren’t particularly demanding, thats why I am on the edge on buying a 144hz monitor!

At 1080p 144 hz., maybe on CS:GO. If you want to stay above 100 fps with high settings (not ultra) you'll need something like a GTX 1660 Super. Even then it will drop below 100 fps or go higher than 144 fps depending on the game and settings. You are not going to get the results you want with a 1050 ti. You may as well play at 1080p 60-75 hz. with that card.
