Is it worth it, if i upgrade my ram from 8gb into 32gb?

I am multitasker.. I used to open photoshop, premiere and after effects at the same time.. Though i am experiencing slow render when i used to preview my project using ram preview (this time the only software open is after FX only no other than and a quarter preview) for now i am using 8gb ram... And I wanna know if 32gb ram is worth for a bang.. Thank you..

My current system is
i7-2600
evga gtx 570
64 bit os

When im using after fx only i used to dedicate 6gb ram and 2gb for other bg running. HT is enabled but still slow..

Well that just depends....what is the speed of your current RAM and what is the speed that you will buy? Remember, it's not always just more size but the speed of the sticks that will make the difference (1333 vs 1600)

my current ram is 1333... and 1600 is the default ryt? is it okay if i buy more than that like 18xx?

There is very little difference 1333v1600v1866. The difference it shows is benchmark numbers and that's about it. The community usually recommends 1600 over 1333 because the price difference is very little or non existent.

A question though.
Did you only buy 1 stick of ram? If so, that can be a reason why it is slow because 1155 is dual channel memory.

I use AE CS6 on a machine with the i7 2600K and 16GB of RAM (16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 668MHz (9-9-9-24) (DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)) and have found the render times to be acceptable. Not that it matters much for rendering but I am using a NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 (MSI) graphics card. I have considered upgrading to 32GB but for right now the 16GB seems to be sufficient for what I do.

About the 16gb will do enough.. when there is no application open, my current ram is loaded about 32%-45% i guess that was the start up.. though i really need that start up somehow. but how is 16gb ram? I would check startup, as you mentioned, to see what is running. You can also view processes to see what each process is using as far as RAM goes. I see no reason you can't have both Premiere and AE open at the same time with 16GB but it would depend on how much RAM you are allocating to each program and how CPU intensive each operation is. Of course, from what I have read, 32GB with AE won't be a waste.

Everyone is correct in saying speed usually comes before quantity, but I use my computer for heavy gaming, dont know the speed of it off the top of my head, and have always been fine with 8GB. The rig I built for my dad has 16GB (4GBx4), but as far as I can tell, the performance isn't any better than my 8... Im not an expert, but I would suggest just upgrading to 16GB if you really wanted to upgrade. 32 to me seems a bit overkill. Also, as people say, having one stick of say, 16GB will not be effective as say, 4 sticks of 4GB. I also find the best results if I use the same brand/model. Here's the stuff I really like.
