These are my system specs

- CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x
- GPU: 4060 ti 16GB
- MOBO: NZXT N7 b550
- RAM: Corsair vengance 4x8 gb
- CPU Cooler Lian Li galahad trinity ii
- Case: NZXT h9 flow
- PSU: 700W
- SSD: samsung 990 pro 1 TB

Would this system still perform well 4 years from now?

Depends what you're doing with it. A Pentium 4 is still performing well if it meets the needs of the user. A 5900X might not be if the person needed a Threadripper.

Also, what's the PSU? Biggest issue with durability and safety and you only told us a wattage. If the PSU's of poor quality, it's not a viable system as-is *now*.

Oof.

I would either rethink the choice of PSU or keep the money in your pocket and shelve the whole idea. This one is on Tier D on the tier list housed here "recommended only for very cheap, iGPU systems." Super low-quality platform, a rebadged Sirfa unit from a long time ago that was basically designed for office systems of 2004.

oh thank you for the info, What PSU would u recommend that is around the same price range maybe around 100-120 cad?

Yup, those are excellent PSUs.

I just replaced a Super Flower Leadex III in my main rig with one. That was an awesome PSU too, but I replace a PSU any time there's the slightest suspicion of it being a problem. Having downtime is too expensive for me.
I mean I do have some room left in my budget so i could do that. So considering that would my PC still be viable 4 years from now for games like League of Legends, Valorant, cyber punk, and assasins creed?

Provided Cyberpunk doesn't go full path tracing, most of those games should run fine on that PC for the coming future. All current Assassins Creed games, I can't speak for possible future ones.

New PSU make sure rest of parts keep working as well :)

I spent a lot of time thinking about this before i set my new system up couple of days ago. I thought of something very similar as you have shown here. But when I built my previous system back in 2015, I did so on a 1150 socket with no upgrading options. And building my new system on a AM4 would leave me very much in the same spot years from now. Yes you can upgrade to a ryzen 7 or even 9 on the AM4, but having the option now of following the times more, I went with the AM5 platform and 6950xt. Yes, it was a lot more expensive, need a new monitor and everything, but when I fired it up and ripped through Starfield maxed up on 1440p 80+ fps totally smooth gameplay... my god a lot has changed since 2015.

Thank you all for the feedback, I will probably be waiting for something like Black Friday and look at the prices then and if they don't decrease that much for am5 cpu's and mobos then I will probably go with the am4 system
