Question Is it worth it to buy a GTX 1060 if my monitor only works on DVI-D

Hello

I have a monitor which has some ports like HDMI and stuff.. but the HDMI port doesn't work. Only my DVI port works.. I cannot buy the new GPU's as they don't have the option for DVI as far as I know..

So my question is, is it worth it to buy the GTX 1060?
They are about the same price where I live with RX 580.. I do know the 1060 is slightly better than the RX 580
However I heard that AMD cards age better due to driver updates?

What do you guys think I should do?

Is it the 3GB or 6GB version?

Nothing wrong with DVI per se. What about buying a new monitor with FreeSync?
