is it worth it to upgrade?

Hi everyone, with black friday around and cbery monday coming up, I have been thinking of upgrading. Now, the people here who play arma 3 are gonna be the ones who help most, its the only game that i play. I have an I5 6600k at its factory speed, and I want to know if it is even worth it to upgrade to an i7 7700k? Will I get constant 45 fps or above in a multiplayer scenario?

Overclock your 6600K. Arma III is more of a clockspeed type game rather than a thread hungry game. So you wouldn't gain much by going to the i7.

if you really wanna upgrade consider something that doesn't come with an integrated graphics , like a threadtripper

Threadripper would be worse for ARMA III.

Because ARMA III favors IPC and clock speed over more cores. Threadripper has the cores but intel has the ipc and higher clock speed.
