Pc for $150 i can get.
-phenom 2 955 (can be ocd)
-crossfire 5670s
-212 hyper 12 evo
-8gb ddr3 1600
-750 watt psu
Is it worth it?
Im getting a job in july when im 16 and plan on getting a good rig. Should I just wait and keep the money? What is a gpu comparable to crossfired 5670s? Thanks

Solution
dual 5670's would perform roughly the same as one 5770/6770(same card)

I mean for you it's probably not worth it, but from my perspective, if I saw that on craigslist I'd probably do $100-150 for that in terms of parts. Whether it's cas 8 or 11 memory, it'd still be a nice score between that and the heatsink/psu/case. I'd find some purpose for the cards and processor

But in your situation I'd save money and be patient

I would suggest a FX 6300 CPU and at least R9 270 for GPU.. That way you can play 1080p at medium/high

I'm not sure how that answers the question...

OP: Yes, I would say that system is worth $150. It's not going to be a gaming beast, but it's a good system for the money.

Here's a review that includes the performance of Crossfire 5670's:

Yes, this is a major bang for your buck. That said, It's not going to be a hardcore gaming pc, but it will be able to handle most games mid-high quality. In the future you can upgrade the CPU and the GPU to suit your gaming needs, taking in the fact of how much money you are potentially saving in the long run.

What would be a good gpu upgrade? I was thinking a 560ti or 750ti. Im not very familiar with amd chips, whats a good amd upgrade? Ccould the phenom handle a 670? How much would a nice oc affect performance?Ive heard you can get above 4ghz on a 212 evo.
