Is it worth it?

My system: cpu: Core 2 Duo E6850 3GHZ, mobo: Asus P5KC, PSU: 600W Zalman, VGA: XFX GTX 260 xxx edition, RAM: 2GB 1066MHZ Kingston, Samsung 2232BW 22' monitor, Windows XP SP3

My question is very simple: Am i see any difference if i will change it with the new Intel core 2 duo E8500 3,16 GHZ?
I use my computer for hardcore gaming at 1680 X 1050 res.
I need your advise...


P.S. If finally i byu the E8500 (price here in Greece 185€), then i will sell my old E6850 to a friend of mine at 115€. So the only cost for me is 70€.

No, it's not worth it. You'll see no noticeable difference.

The Wolfdale is faster, about 15% not worth $70 let alone 70 euros
