Is it worth spending the extra 150 for 980ti?

I have a 760 and wanted to upgrade to a 980 then ti came out so is it even worth the extra cash?

Yes, I believe so. Otherwise every time you play a modern top end AAA game that drops under 60fps, you will sit there wishing you paid the extra 150 instead of wasting it on cheetos, mountain dew and beard trimming devices.

It's a fair choice. The 980ti is ~30% faster than the 980, it also costs about 30% more. Rarely does the cost scale with the performance. You usually have to spend a disproportionate amount of money more, the faster the product is. Of course the 980 costs a lot more than a 970, so it would be the 980 that is kind of over priced.
