So I'm planning on buying a 500GB 850 EVO to put my programs and OS on. I have another 2 1TB HDDs for games and films and schtuff. Is it worth getting a 1TB 850 EVO instead so I can put my games on that?

Solution
Not really. Anything beyond 500 is a waste I would say. Your OS and programs take no more than 50gb, you have 450gb left. If you play multiplayer games, SSD doesn't matter since the games starts as soon as everyone loads (and you are never the slowest person), so SSD is totally useless for MP. For singleplayer it's useful, but how many single players do you play at the same time? At average you wouldn't play more than 5 games and those are 5 games spread at 450gb or so, no game is 90gb right now. So 1tb would be a waste, better buy a faster ssd (NVMe), even though it will be a waste as well since you don't need anything that fast.
