Is it worth to save for 1440p?

So I have a Benq RL2455HM, and thinking of going dual monitor as soon as I save up my money. i plan on getting an IPS panel for movie watching, content creation, etc. I originally thought of going for an ASUS MX238H, but would a 1440p be a good long term inverstment, or do you think prices will drop? I saw a Asus PB278Q refurbished for $400.

With that monitor it does not really support a great refresh rate. Although some do not aim for this, you may be happy with running games/software at 60hz...which is fine.

Do you have the GPU power to run 1440P?

I would recommend a 700 series GTX minimum for 1440p, you don't want anything less than that really.

Also, if you want the dual 1080p panels then you would need a GPU(s) that have enough VRAM to facilitate it. I would get a card with a least 2GB of VRAM just to be safe. But, in multiple panel setups more VRAM on the GPU(s) is better.

1440p is totally worth it, big improvement over 1080p, especially for content creation.

I have a 760. I don't plan to play games on it, I plan to play on my TN monitor.
